Bereavement

Our Social Worker provides as needed support for patients and their families in a variety of ways.  The Social Worker can assist in making funeral arrangements, connect the family to community resources or refer to additional services, counsel patients and their families regarding coping and emotional wellness, etc.

Rebecca Flores, MSW

Social Worker

Becca joined our Bear Valley Hospice Team in 2020 and since then she has enjoyed supporting families as they cope with the loss, change, and transitions related to hospice care.  She believes that building meaningful relationships with patients and their families along with offering emotional support and bereavement care is the most rewarding and fulfilling component of hospice social work.  Becca finds hospice care a deeply meaningful profession and loves being able to have a career that she is passionate about in a community that she loves.  In her free time, Becca likes to be outside and explore the Southern California mountains that we call home.
